Oil Change Switcharoo
I called and asked how much an synthetic oil change costs. I was told $39.99. Within an hour, I brought my car in, had to wait 2 hours for service to be completed, and had the oil change.I was charged $81.00. Apparently, the service write wrote me up for the Super Premium oil change, not the one I was quoted.I complained and was told that an oil change 12 months prior for my car I also received this $81 version. That is true and I angrily complained about it then as well because it was not what I wanted.The guy who wrote me up did not inform me of the charge for the oil change. And I distinctly remember of not being informed about it the prior time as well. Unfortunately for me, I now know he was not the guy I spoke to on the phone when I received my quote for the $39.99 oil change. Next time, I will take my car to Firestone.
