POOR SERVICE

I brought my car in because there was a leak under the front of the car - also, my A/C produced a loud grinding noise when I turned the blower on & I was willing to pay the $115 charge to check it out. I even left my car overnite to give them time. NOTHING except an oil change & tire rotation was done because the car didn't get looked at until the next day, Sunday, & no one was there who could do what I initially brought the car in for. Very disappointed in service & considering not returning to Dobbs again - I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. This location usually does an exceptional job but not this time - and they had my car for two days! I brought it in at 10A on Saturday & picked it up at 2p on Sunday 10/25.

I think these guys do a great job. They offer multiple options when they can and see if there is a way to reduce costs. So far, no work has ever needed to be addressed again.

Worst experience.

I was really disappointed by my experience here. I went in with two headlights out and they called me back to say that one headlight had needed a bulb and one had needed a fuse. The headlight that did not get a bulb stopped working again that evening. I have since gotten two more different descriptions of what happened -- one person said they'd tapped on the bulb and it went back on (this is what my receipt said) and another person said that they'd replaced only one bulb because that's all they had in stock. This person insisted that they had advised me of this, but they had not, and my itemized receipt with a description of service does not reflect this either. They also closed my hood on my windshield wipers so that the first time I tried to use them, they didn't work. If I hadn't figured out what happened, I could have wrecked the motor.This is the worst experience I've had at any mechanic. I am extremely disappointed -- they actually made my car less safe to drive.

Of course I got great service as usual at a good price. Been a customer for ~15 yrs and have found everyone there to be very competent. Over the years, Dobbs has honored their "fixed Forever" warranty several times on a used car I had for 10 years and it had 125K miles when I bought it and almost 300K when it died. And they never argued or complained and were always nice. Accurate estimates and explained my options. Guess that explains why they're stuck with me as a customer and friend.Rich Stanton
