Noise Coming from engine area

Took in for a "rattle" type engine noise. They found some loose bolts on transmission housing and some other loose bolts in that area and test drove car after that and still made noise...they recommended tearing down engine to pin point the problem and said it would be 22 hrs labor to tear down engine to see what the issue was. so I said forget that and they charged me nearly $300 to tighten a few bolts and initial diagnost. Took it it somewhere else and within 5min the guy noticed there is bolts missing from Flex plate and they took apart and besides the few bolts missing the flex plate was cracked. They Fixed no more noise and it WAS NOT a engine issue at all. very dissapointed
