Very Disappointed (2nd Time)

I brought my pickup in because my engine was running hard and my breaks were squeaking. Tech said parking brake needed replacement. Told me would adjust it and I could drive it but needed to be replaced soon.Four days later I was told that parking brake had burned my rotors and instead of $240, I now had an additional charge of $140 per rotor.How is it that no experienced mechanic thought to check further once he/she realized my parking brake was sticking? To make matters worse, I had originally brought my truck in 6 months earlier, advising I'd bought used truck - with high mileage - and wanted a thorough inspection. I was told everything but shocks and tires was good. At no point was I told only an outer "visual" inspection is done and a more in depth one would ber $140. It's a 2001 truck with 270k miles, how does a mechanic not have a good idea what's usually worn by then? Separately, I'd brought my car in for tire service and had to bring back three times to correct.

The folks at Mountain View are always available and helpful. It is a super easy place to access if you are in the N.E. LA area, and they always go the extra mile at very competitive prices. My favorite mechanic is Robert, since he has so much experience and he loves what he does!
