I couldn't be more pleased with the friendly reception and the speedy and professional service I received on 8/30/17. Alonzo was very detailed with his explanation of the work and time it takes to be done on my car for the 50,000 mile check up. The work was completed way before the promised time.
Came in early for a quick oil & filter change before a long trip. Hogan took the car immediately and I was done in 30 minutes. Many thanks.
I am long time customer and I have never been disappointed or received bad service. BUT they treat new folks as well as they treat regulars! They truly understand customer service...something sadly lacking in retail these days.
Hogan & Sons performed a required annual Virginia safety inspection. They found and repaired a brake problem just before a planned road trip. Thanks!
I requested a shuttle pick up at 430 and it never came. I ended up asking a co worker for a ride close to an hour later. Consequently, I was late picking up my children from daycare. Before this I've been fairly happy with the shop; very disappointing.

My 18 year old daughter went here for a state inspection. They not only failed the car, but tried to upsell her $1400 worth of service/parts. Primary reason stated for failure was some moisture in one headlight and that the other needed to be aimed. They said the moisture one required replacement. I took the car elsewhere to my usual mechanic, and he said the car DID NOT FAIL, AND THERE WAS NOTHING IN DIRE NEED OF REPAIR like my daughter was led to believe!!!! I looked up the VA state inspection regulations & she shouldn't have been failed. She was told her car should not be driven before the suggested repairs were done. She called me from H&S, in tears, thinking she would have to shell out $1400 so that her car would pass inspection! I have gone to Hogan & Sons on and off through the years, and never felt like I was getting taken advantage of in any way. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the treatment of my daughter. Will not take any of our 4 cars there ever again!
Car wasn't ready when promised and the repair was ~ $100 more than quoted. Not the first time we've had problems either.
Great work at a reasonable price. So nice to have a car one can rely on. The days of wondering if it'll go 30 feet or 30 seconds are over. If I have any problems with any of my cars, I'll be certain to bring them to Hogan and Sons.
The staff is very courteous and helpful whenever I come in. My car was taken care of sooner than the time quoted which is always nice.
