F150 caliper locked

Just had LOF/Multi-point inspection at Ford dealer to keep my warranty in tact. Upon brake inspection it was discovered the left front pads were nearly gone, and the right side at 8. Instead of leaving on the rack and consulting me, they took it down and put the wheels back on and parked it out front, then proceeding to tell me about the problem, and it would be another 3 plus hour to fix it for their estimate of $658. I just told them I would take to my trusted local shop - Flynn's tire in Dover. Rich Cochran got me right in with no appointment, Jim Toland removed the wheels and gave me an estimate (only$332), and Roger Blake (I call him my personal mechanic) did the the repair work, test drove my truck and I was on my way home within an hour and a half. Outstanding service would be an understatement. Have been trusting my vehicles to Flynn for nearly 20 years. Thank you.

The workers who check customers in and provide estimates know their business and seem to enjoy their work. And the garage crew gets the job done as quickly as can be expected, no matter if you have an appointment. The price is fair and the work is reliable. New tires

Service was great. Always have been treated well at this store. The price paid for the tires was a bit steep. Consumer reports listed them at approximately $140/tire.

Always Honest

I thought the vehicle might need new front brake pads, but Flynn's assured me that there's still 50% left--no brakes needed. This is at least the 4th time that Flynn's could have charged me for work that wasn't needed--but did not. When I purchased a set of 4 new Michelin tires in 2012, they checked the vehicle's alignment, and gave me the computer printout that showed the vehicle did not need an alignment.In 2013, I brought the vehicle in to check a noise in one of the wheels.Turned out to be a factory installed metal guard that had rusted and partially dislodged-No charge to fix.Earlier this year, during a free tire rotation, they found something amiss in one of the rear brake pads, and replaced both pads with new ones free of charge, as the warranty was still in effect.These folks are courteous, efficient, and honest. I recommend Flynn's Dover.

Oil Change

Took 2 1/2 hours for a walk-in oil change. This isn't the first time it took so long and I gave them another chance. They get an F on speed both times. While I waited, I watched the mechanics complete their assigned tasks. Most appeared to move at a slow pace. Don't know why. Maybe they need more help. Vehicles were sitting in the stalls and there were not enough mechanics to cover every stall. The work I did see them do, appeared to be completed professionally. If you are in a hurry and have to wait for your vehicle, I don't recommend this shop.
